Laboratory Equipment and Services
Mountainview Animal Hospital has an on-site laboratory which allows us to run fecal tests, cytology of fluid, urine and tissue samples, urinalysis, many blood tests, often in less than one hour.
Having test results this quickly is a nice convenience for surgical patients requiring wellness blood tests before their surgery. It is also a great advantage for our critically ill patients, having test results so quickly allows us to start our treatments earlier.
On occasion there are tests that we cannot perform in our laboratory. We send those samples to an accredited outside laboratory, often still receiving results in less than 24 hours.

FUNFACT:
Cats can learn tricks. They just sometimes choose not to. Cats can be trained to use a toilet, come when called, sit when told, heel, jump through a hoop, eat with their paws, roll over, fetch and many other small tricks. It just takes a heck of a lot of patience.
